Happy Halloween! As promised here is a picture of me as the woman in J. Howard Miller’s “We Can Do It!” poster (1942) who is now commonly referred to as Rosie the Riveter.
Happy Halloween everyone! As planned, I dressed as Sam Spade for our office costume party.
In a related matter, Al informed me that Leonardo DiCaprio was a member of the group that recently won the prop bird at auction. The winning bid? $325,000.
After much deliberation, it’s finally settled – our 2010 Halloween costumes have been chosen! Big surprise, we both chose classic figures.
Lindsay is: Sam Spade from The Maltese Falcon (1941)
I’ll be going as the Humphrey Bogart character in this classic John Huston film. Like last year, everything I need is already in my closet! I’ll wear a trench coat and fedora, wrap a sweatshirt in newspaper to serve as the packaged falcon, and be coolly detached. Cigarette not included.
Alix is: Rosie the Riveter (1940′s)
Al will go dressed as the powerful icon in a blue button-down shirt and a red bandanna. Tickets to the gun show are now on sale!
